Lumea IPL

  • There are two treatment phases. The Initial phase consists of 4 treatments in total, one every 2 weeks (with 14-day intervals). The Touch-up phase means one treatment every 4 weeks. Use the Philips Lumea IPL app to support your treatment routine.

  • After the 1st treatment, it can take 1 to 2 weeks for the hairs to shed. You may still see some hairs growing. After 2-3 treatments, you should see a noticeable reduction in hair growth. The difference should be significant after 4 treatments.

  • Check the skin tone and hair color tables in a user manual and read the safety instructions. Treatment is not effective if you have light blond, grey, red or white hairs. You can’t use this hair remover if you have dark brown to dark skin tones.

  • No. While not necessary for safety, you may wear sunglasses or goggles for your convenience if you find the light uncomfortable or too bright.

  • Yes, Lumea can be used by both women and men. Men can use Lumea on most areas of the body, except the face and neck including all beard-growing areas (due to different hair type, thicker and coarser hair), the whole genital area and anus.
